Los Angeles: Mel's Drive-In
by Victoria Challancin
You might know it from the movie "American Graffiti," or tv's "Melrose Place," or Doonesbury, or even the book The American Drive-in by Mike Witzel. I know it from my son, who lives in LA and takes me there every time I visit.

On our last visit in August our son started with his favorite Expresso Milk Shake
and moved on to a Cheeseburger with Curly Fries
I opted for that Southern Comfort I don't make at home Chicken-Fried Steak

and husband, the yoga teacher, had a tasteful California Salad
